The West Kelowna area is a four-season playground thanks to the facilities and attractions offered in every season. The West Side offers some good beaches and sunbathing areas with public boat launching and moorage available. An extensive upgrade has been done to the Gellatly Bay area creating a linear lakefront recreation facility. The West Side has numerous parks and attractions including Powers Creek and Bear Creek Provincial Park that feature many excellent hiking trails.
